In 1976 I lived a little time on the Lower East Side and discovered a group named "City Arts Workshop" which worked at a wonderful project aimed to make better some very dilapidated places and at the same time to keep young people away from the streets, giving them something interesting and pleasant do to do. Do these murales still exist, almost 30 years later? Who knows... In any case I have documented this huge work in 177 photos, should somebody be interested. All of them are © by City Arts Workshop
